U.S. Marine Corps recruiter, Timothy Lamont Craig, 26, is charged with sexual assault of a child for an alleged relationship with a 16 year old girl.
The teen’s foster mother tipped off police after finding out from the girl that she and Craig had sex in the backseat of a car during a football game. The two met at a recruiting booth at McCallum High School, and Craig gave her his government-issued cell phone number.
400 text messages were exchanged between them from July 1 to October 11, according to Naval Criminal Investigative Service officials. NCIS reported that Craig charged a $49.99 “Red Carpet Special” car wash on his government-issued credit card after he and the teen had sex in his government-issued car.
