Man Accused of Assaulting Waitress During “Dine-and-Dash”

August 17th, 2010 · No Comments

Police in Austin have arrested a man accused of assaulting a restaurant employee in an alleged dine-and-dash incident.

According to officials with the Austin Police Department, the incident occurred last month at Antonio’s Restaurant on Highway 183 on Austin’s Northwest side. Police say a man, identified only by his last name – Bounds, and another assailant ate at the restaurant and ran out without paying their bill.

The waitress who had been serving the men ran outside after realizing they had stiffed her on the bill. Bounds then attempted to run her over, and she was knocked to the ground, police say.

Bounds is currently free on $20,000 bond.
