A man is facing felony charges after police say he fired several shots in the air at a North Austin apartment complex Monday afternoon.
According to an arrest affidavit filed Thursday, 24 year-old Alan Carrillo fired several rounds from a .40-caliber Glock handgun shortly after 4:00 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of St. John’s Village at 7606 Blessing Ave., near U.S. 183 and Lamar Boulevard.
According to officials with the Austin Police Department, Carrillo was gone when police arrived and K9 units failed to locate him. Carrillo’s sister told officers he fired four shots in the air during an argument with her in the parking lot of the complex. The affidavit says the complex is “populated by numerous adults and children.”
Carrillo now faces a charge of felony possession of a firearm, police say.
