Door-To-Door Pot Seller Arrested

November 23rd, 2009 · No Comments

A 19 year-old in Brownsville, Texas, has been arrested on drug charges after he allegedly went door-to-door attempting to sell marijuana.

A spokesperson for the Brownsville Police Department said that Anthony Carrazco’s plan went awry when he knocked on the apartment of a police officer.

Officer Jimmy Manrrique said the incident occurred near the University of Texas southernmost campus. He said Carrazco appeared to be intoxicated and told the officer he had three ounces of marijuana with him that he was trying to sell. The off-duty police officer “said he would be right back and went to get his badge and handcuffs.”

Manrrique says the officer also found a handgun on Carrazco. Carrazco remains in Cameron County jail on $10,000 bond.
