A 14 year-old boy in Corpus Christi, Texas, was arrested Monday after a high-speed chase.
According to police, the chase started shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. The boy, driving a stolen truck, led police through neighborhoods and then onto highways at speeds of close to 80 miles per hour.
The truck developed engine problems some time into the chase and began to lose speed as a fire started under the hood. At this point a police officer was able to jump inside the vehicle and stop it.
The boy is facing charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle as well as possession of marijuana.
