A man has been charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the assault of another man. The defendant allegedly walked up to a man and his girlfriend standing at a food vendor on 7th St early Friday morning.

After a short altercation, the man and his girlfriend began to walk away, but the defendant allegedly attacked them with a rock he was holding. He allegedly beat the man into unconsciousness before being arrested. If convicted, he faces 20 years in prison.
