US Customs seized 4 tons of marijuana from a truck crossing the border from Mexico to Texas. Border patrol agents say the truck contained 9,084 pounds of marijuana hidden in a shipment of auto parts. The truck was coming from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Officials say the drugs were found when the driver of a 1995 GMC trailer was driving in the Fee and Secure Trade lane. The lane requires drivers be pre-approved for expedited entry. More than 6,000 bundles of marijuana were found mixed in with the auto parts. The estimated value of the drugs is $7.2 million.
