A man has been charged with robbery by assault after he attacked a couple to rob them of their car keys. The attack occurred on 6th St at Brazos early on Saturday morning. This incident is one of about a half dozen assaults in the dowtown area in the last few weeks.
The man allegedly punched the woman in the face twice after grabbing her car keys. He then attacked the woman’s boyfriend when he tried to defend her. The man was arrested at the scene.
