There is a new mentoring program called “Get REAL” that will target middle school children in areas with a high juvenile crime rate. This program is designed to help the children build experiences and relationships that will keep them out of trouble.
The program is starting at Mendez Middle School and John P. Ojeda Junior High School. Both of these schools are in areas of high juvenile crime, and the hope is that mentoring will help to deter this.
Even with a lowering of the crime rate, people still get in trouble. If you or someone you know is facing criminal charges, contact the Austin criminal defense attorney, Ian Inglis at 800-589-1808.
