Governor’s Mansion Arson Case Still Unsolved

December 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Austin, TX–More than six months after someone set the Texas Governor’s Mansion ablaze by hurtling a Molotov cocktail at it, the arson case still remains unsolved.  Authorities have scant evidence that is providing no leads; even surveillance videos have not helped.  Additionally, authorities have no motive for the crime to use in their investigation.

Even though progress is slow, the Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the case; there is $50,000 award for anyone who provides information that leads to capture of the perpetrator.

It is unsurprising that this arson remains unsolved, though.  Only 15 to 20 percent of arsons result in arrest.  If you or someone you know has been charged with arson, contact the Austin arson defense lawyers of Ian Inglis.  Call at 800-589-1808 or visit our website.
