A Thursday night robbery and assault at 8 pm near Anderson High School has put some people on edge. The robbery and assault, allegedly committed by four white teenagers occurred at the Woodstone Apartments, which right across the street from the high school. The teens came into the apartment, held a young man and woman at gunpoint, beat the man, and stole some items. The violence was non-fatal.
Police believe that the robbery and assault were not random events. They believe that they resulted because of an ongoing feud between Anderson High School students, or between Anderson High School students and ex-students. High school officials became worried about the feud. As a result, although they did not put the school on lockdown they stopped allowing students to go off campus for lunch and have begun limiting the number of passes to step out of class.
