The Los Angeles Police Department’s auto crimes unit has broken up an auto theft ring in San Fernando Valley. Supposedly, young men were stealing cars and transporting them to Mexico. Additionally, after stealing people’s automobiles the young men allegedly went back to the same people’s homes and stole other personal belongings.
In total, nine cars and 100 personal items, such as laptops and camcorders, were recovered. In total, there were eight individuals involved, four juveniles and four adults. They ranged in age from 17 to 20. The eight individuals face charges of burglary, grand theft auto, and receiving stolen property.
