Palo Alto, CA–On Saturday, November 15, 2008, a woman was walking alone at 6pm on a downtown street when she was pushed to ground by a man who grabbed her backup and ran off. She identified the man as black, bald and clean-shaven, around 160 pounds.

The woman was the 18th victim of street robberies in Palo Alto. Several others who have been robbed believe that their assailant was the same man who robbed the woman on Nov. 15. Two men have already been arrested, but there has been no word yet on whether they are connected to any previous robberies. As a result of the increased robberies, police patrols have increased.
