Oakland, CA–Two 18-year-olds and one 17-year-old youth were arrested on charges of two robberies on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. In the first robbery, one of the three individuals grabbed a 63-year-old woman’s purse and fled. The woman followed the robber and met a witness who saw the thief get into a brown car.
After the robbery of the woman, the three men then attacked and robbed a 43-year-old restaurant worker who was heading home. After knocking him off of his bike, they kicked and punched him and took his cell phone, wallet, and keys.
After a city-wide search, the robbers’ car was identified. Police apprehended the robbers and found the victims’ belongings.
