Aurora, NE–On Saturday, October 18, 2008, police seized 75 pounds of marijuana when they made two different traffic stops. The first stop was made at 2 am, when a police officer pulled over a car for failing to signal. The driver of the car allowed the police officer to search the car, after which 48 pounds of marijuana were found.
Later on that morning, at 9 am, police pulled over a car for following too close. A patrol dog with the officers smelled the odor of marijuana, after which the dog barked and police search the vehicle. They found 27 pounds of marijuana.
Both drivers of the cars were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
